Welcome To My Blog!

Hi! Welcome to my blog!
On my blog I will be posting pictures of my drawings, talking about what techniques I have used (to do the drawing), what materials I have used and I’ll also be doing reviews on some art products.
I hope you enjoy my blog!

Here's one of my drawings. It is of a jaguar. I used Prismacolor Premier Pencils, and regular graphite pencils.I also used a Prismacolor Colorless Blender Pencil. To erase my mistakes I used a regular eraser. To blend the graphite I used a tortillon. I don't use any type of 'special' paper, the one I use is just from Kmart. This blog is not sponsored by any of the brands you will see in my posts.
Here are a few techniques I used whilst drawing the jaguar.
The fur: To draw the white fur on white paper, I used a light graphite pencil. I then shaded it slightly to add the illusion of white fur. For the coloured fur, I used Prismacolors as I mentioned above. I sort of blended the colours together, by drawing quick short strokes close together, and then when the fur changed colour (when the patch of fur ended) I added a few more strokes on top of the over all fur colour, because obviously the fur isn't' perfect, which added a realistic look to the drawing.
The spots: For the spots, I used a black pencil, and drew quick short strokes on the paper.
The eyes: To give the eyes a realistic look, I used a white Prismacolor pencil, and drew on top of the yellow and green on the eye. The white makes the colour that you have drawn first, lighter, and also gets rid f some unwanted pencil strokes.
Thank you for reading! :)
If you have any questions I would be more than happy to answer them. :)
