Hello everyone! Here I am with another graphite drawing! This time the drawing is of Harry Potter. (Daniel Radcliffe)
Now I'll talk a little bit about the drawing. :)
MATERIALS:
I used regular graphite pencils (No surprise there :D) A tortillon for shading, I occasionally used my fingers as many other artists do. I used a Faber-Castell eraser for mistakes (I always make tons of mistakes, but that's part of learning) and also for highlights. The paper is as always- from Kmart. I don't feel the need to have top-quality paper, since the paper I use currently does its job fine.
TECHNIQUES:
The Hair: Drawing the hair was one of the hardest parts to draw in this drawing, because as Ive mentioned in my previous posts, I am still on the learning track to drawing realistic hair. I tried my best as anyone would, and it turned out okay. I used the tortillon to smudge the hair, and the eraser to add highlights.
The Scar: To draw the scar I drew the zigzag shape first and then used the tortillon to smudge the scar and make it larger without it looking odd.
The Clothes: The clothes were quite hard too, because clothes is my other drawing-weakness. I used the tortillon tons! I used dark and light pencils. And of course the eraser for highlights. (Cant forget the eraser) :)
I think that's all! As always, If you have any questions or feedback, I'd be delighted to hear it!
Thanks For Reading!
- Zoe
